When I say, "here we go again" I really do mean it, as in many ways I feel like I am starting this whole trial all over again. I had some blood work done last month to give me an idea of where my hormones are and answer some of the questions I had about where my fertility is now that I have successfully had a child. I knew something wasn't quite right as my cycles started to become irregular, I had some spotting and those dreaded hot flashes were back.
I was pretty sure my progesterone & estrogen would come back low, which they did. I was also not surprised that my FSH would be high, I was hoping it would be low, under 10, but given my history I knew chances were slim that it would be a low number.
So here is where I am starting:
FSH = 21.6 (Needs to be less than 10)
LH = 21 (Needs to be less than 12)
Progesterone = 0.5 (Needs to be more than 1.0)
Estradiol = 22 (Needs to be between 19-144)
Additionally, I was incredibly low in iron, folate and vitamin b.
So, as you can see, I have a lot of work to do.
