Week 19.....

Sorry for the delay, I started school again last week and my days/weeks have become extremely full and exhausting. Here you go, week 19, I can't believe I am so close to being halfway done!

Not a thing, which is disappointing as I am still waiting for the big cravings to kick in so that I can send Learon out in the middle of the night.

It's A GIRL!

Well, if you haven't heard yet, we are happily expecting a girl, AND she is looking to be just about perfect!

She is 8oz, and looks to be about 3 days more advanced than her actual due date. Everything looks just perfect, she has all of her little toes, fingers and every single organ looks to be forming correctly. So far she has this cute, little tiny nose, but I am guessing it will turn into an Ellsworth nose, instead of an attractive Bird nose. During the ultrasound we even got a chance to see her little mouth open and close a few times, which was so cute and really quite incredible.

We have decided to name her Allouette (pronounced All-lou-ette) Ellsworth Bird, with her nickname being Lou or Lulu depending on how girly she turns out to be.

Learon has had a perma-grin on his face since the day we discovered that this little soul is going to be a girl and overall we are just so excited for what this future holds.

Say I Can See...

..the bottom of my belly button and it is kind of freaking me out. I have always had a very deep, very skinny, rather oval belly button, so deep in fact that you could never really see to the bottom of it. By all counts it was a rather nice belly button, if I do say so myself. However, something has happened to it, which might have to do with the fact that this kiddo is getting bigger, but my belly button has become very shallow and more on the round side.

It is odd to say the least and I can only hope that one day, it might go back to the way it was.

Kung-Fu Kick

Tonight, while eating dinner, I felt this baby's first major kung-fu kick. It was so big in fact that at first I was a little shocked and my body jumped a little in surprise.

That is definitely something I have NEVER felt before!

Thought of the day...

Puking up all your food is such a waste of money.

So Many Flutters

As of Monday evening I have been feeling those oh so wonderful flutters. They usually come when I am sitting or laying down and they go on, and on, and on, but in the most wonderful way. When they first started I thought it might be some odd kind of tummy rumble but as they continued I pretty quickly figured out that they were the amazing flutters that everyone talks about.

The best thing about these flutters is that it is a constant reminder that everything is A-OK, which I LOVE.

Y Swim at the Y?

Pre-natal swimming class baby. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-11am, I can be found at the YMCA swimming away. Oh, how I love the pool.

Check-up Results (16+ weeks)

Baby Bird is going strong, heartbeat is 156 and my weight gain to-date is 6 pounds...both are right on target.

Gifts for Baby Bird

While in Seattle I found these fabulous pictures for Baby Bird's room. I love them and think they will fit in perfectly whether we are having a boy or a girl. Plus, they were a fantastic deal so I snarfed them up and brought them all the way back home.

My mom also found this awesome little monkey suit and as Learon LOVES monkeys we could not resist. If we have a girl, I will attach little pink bows to the hood ears.

So there you have it, the very first purchases for baby bird.....let's hope it does not jinx anything!

Week 16.....

Smaller than last week.....perhaps, but it doesn't feel that way.
